By using Row & Recover you agree to these terms. They are written to be readable rather than to be long.

What this site is

Row & Recoveris an independent publisher. We write about rowing machines using manufacturers’ published specifications and live retail price data. We do not sell rowing machines, we do not manufacture them, and we have no affiliation with any manufacturer, retailer or distributor.

When you buy something through a link here, your contract is with Amazon or with whichever retailer you reach. It is not with us.

What this site is not

It is not a testing service. We have not rowed on the machines we write about, we do not own them, and there is no lab here. Every ranking is an argument from published specification and buyer fit. The method is published in full so you can judge it for yourself.

It is not medical advice. Several pages discuss knees, backs, joint impact and cardiovascular exercise. Nobody writing this site holds any clinical or coaching qualification. If you have an existing knee, back, heart or other condition, consult a doctor before starting any exercise program. Nothing here is a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.

It is not financial advice. The cost-of-ownership calculations are arithmetic on published figures, provided to inform a purchase decision. They are not a recommendation about how to spend your money.

Accuracy, and its limits

We take accuracy seriously. Every specification is traced to a published source and dated; prices come from a live feed and expire automatically after 48 hours rather than going stale; and where a manufacturer does not publish a figure we print that it is not published rather than estimating it.

Even so, information here is provided as is. Manufacturers revise specifications without notice, prices change constantly, and models are discontinued. We do not warrant that everything on this site is complete, current or error-free.

Always verify the price, the specification and the availability on the retailer’s own page before you buy. The price at checkout is the price that applies.

If you find something wrong, please tell us. We correct pages and update their verification dates.

Affiliate relationships

We earn a commission on qualifying purchases made through some links on this site, at no additional cost to you. This is disclosed on every page that carries such a link, under every buy button, and in the full affiliate disclosure.

It does not affect what we recommend or the order we recommend it in, and our editorial policy sets out how that is kept true.

Using our content

The writing, tables, calculations and layout on this site are our copyright. You may read, print and share pages for your own use, and you may quote a short passage with attribution and a link.

You may not republish substantial portions, reproduce our cost or specification tables wholesale, or use the content to train a commercial model without permission. Ask — we are reasonable about it.

Product names, brands and images belong to their respective owners. Product imagery is served from Amazon’s content delivery network under the Amazon Associates program. Manufacturer names are used for identification only and imply no endorsement in either direction.

We link to manufacturers, retailers, news reports and other publishers. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, their accuracy or their privacy practices.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Type 5 Marketing LLC is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of this site or from any purchase decision you make in reliance on it. That includes injury arising from exercise, dissatisfaction with a product, or a price or specification that has changed since we recorded it.

Some jurisdictions do not permit certain exclusions of liability, in which case the exclusions above apply only to the extent permitted where you live.

Changes

We may update these terms. When we do materially, the effective date at the top of this page changes with it.
