Row & Recover

Your data

Privacy policy

Short, because we collect very little. No accounts, no newsletter, nothing sold.

Effective July 24, 2026.

The short version

Row & Recover has no user accounts, no login, no newsletter and no comment system. We do not sell, rent or share personal information with anyone, and we never will.

Two things collect data: Google Analytics, which measures traffic in aggregate, and the contact form, which sends us what you type into it.

What we collect

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are read and how people arrive. It collects standard web analytics data: pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, device and browser type, referring site, and time on page.

We also record an event when someone clicks a buy button, so that we know which recommendations are useful. That event records the retailer, the product identifier and the page it happened on. It does not record who you are.

Google Analytics sets cookies to distinguish returning visitors. We do not have access to any information that identifies you personally through it, and we do not use it for advertising remarketing.

Google’s own handling of this data is governed by Google’s privacy policy. You can opt out entirely with Google’s browser add-on, and any standard content blocker will also stop it.

The contact form

If you use the contact form, we receive your name, your email address, the topic you selected and your message. That is sent to our own inbox and used solely to reply to you.

The form also records the moment the page loaded and your IP address, purely as anti-spam measures: a submission completed in under three seconds is a bot, and we limit submissions per IP address per hour. Neither is stored beyond the life of the request, and the IP address is not attached to your message.

We do not add you to any list. There is no list.

Affiliate links

When you click a buy button, you are forwarded to Amazon with our Associates tag attached. Amazon then sets its own cookie so that a purchase can be attributed to us. We do not see who you are, what you looked at or what you bought — only an aggregate commission report.

Amazon’s handling of that is governed by Amazon’s privacy notice. Our full affiliate disclosure explains how the links work.

What we do not collect

  • No accounts, passwords or profiles — there is nothing to sign up for.
  • No payment information. We never handle a transaction; Amazon does.
  • No advertising or remarketing pixels. There are no ads on this site.
  • No social media tracking pixels.
  • No health information, and no sensitive personal data of any kind.

Cookies

The only cookies this site causes to be set are Google Analytics’. We set none of our own. Blocking them in your browser, or using any standard content blocker, will not break anything here — every page works identically without them.

How long we keep things

Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics’ default retention settings. Contact form messages are kept in our inbox for as long as needed to handle the exchange, and are deleted on request.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, and to object to its processing. In practice the only personal information we hold is whatever you sent us through the contact form.

To exercise any of those rights, or to have a message deleted, email info@rowandrecover.com. We will act on it.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, the effective date at the top of this page changes with it. We would rather over-disclose than quietly amend.
